We here in Phoenix have a couple of things in store for Michael!

We are planning a photo op on the steps of the Arizona Capital Building (media has been advised - they usually have some media people there anyways).

We have a Rally at Patriot's Park in downtown Phoenix planned.

We have peole along the route that want to cheer him on as he passes - just like the Tour De France or the Olympics!

We plan on taking LOTS of videotape.

We have some nice handouts for him - and some different RP signs too!

Dinner will be up to how much energy he has when time comes to rest.  Either quiet and small, or large and sumptuous - it's up to our Guest of Honor!

Telling him some of this really had an uplifting effect on his spirits this morning, and he has a little extra 'pep' in his ride!

We can't wait!

Michael had such a good time with us and we have overwhelmed him well enough with our love and admiration that he has consented to stay an extra day with us!  He has had the morning to himself to rest up, catch up on his internet commitments, and shop around for a newer and better trailer.  I will be picking himup at 3:00 p.m., and taking him on a short sight-seeing tour of Phoenix, and let him knock on some doors and hand out some literature - along with the ever-present photo-taking.  After that, we are throwing him a Pizza Party at 5:30 p.m. where he can regale us all with his escapades so far.  At 7:00 p.m., we are due at the Arizona State Fair, where Michael will spend some time working the Republican Booth, and we just might be able to get some fun in edgewise.  at 10:00 p.m. (I know it's late, but Michael wants to attend this one) he and I will be going to a private residence of one of our Members and we will be watching Ron Paul's appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.  Then it's off to bed to rest up for the resumption of the ride.

I don't care how busy I get - I will post up here whatever goes on just because I now know Mamakar is watching! Wink

I thank you for your posting and most especially for the family care you are showing Michael.  I can sense that you are giving him the adrenaline rush that will carry him forward for many miles.

Its so encouraging to read the forums and watch the growing support RP.  Your AZ group is really organized.  Hoping your lead will encourage others to follow.

I too will be watching the Tonight Show.  Thanks again.....MamaKar
